Hey PEDALERS!

I had the opportunity to travel to Dubai recently for an unrelated cycling business trip. I wanted to make this video to show the reality of travelling with your bike and demonstrate one of the worst realities that can happen when doing so. Now it just so happens that this trip ended up being my most expensive trip ever. I do not point this out to be boastful or to flex but to show that this is a possibility that can happen when you plan your next cycling trip.

Thankfully in my situation, cycling was not the main focus so it wasn’t too disheartening that I wasn’t able to accomplish all my cycling goals in Dubai however it makes me think of the possibility in the future of this happening in a dedicated cycling trip. The biggest lesson I learned was to always advocate for yourself! If it wasn’t for that I wouldn’t have been able to ride.

I wish anyone travelling with their bike the best of luck and prays that you do not lose your bike as I did.
